Ethan’s POV

As I walked alongside my packmates, a heavy weight settled in my chest. We had been so close to catching Scarlett, but she had slipped through our grasp. It felt like we had failed, and the consequences of that failure were unknown.

I couldn't help but wonder what Scarlett's next move would be. Would she come back for revenge, or would she disappear into the night, only to resurface at an even more inconvenient time? I knew that she was dangerous, and her mere presence posed a threat to our pack.

The thought of the danger that Scarlett could bring to us made me uneasy. We had worked so hard to maintain our territory and protect our pack, and one slip-up could undo all of our efforts. I couldn't bear the thought of anyone in our pack getting hurt because of our failure to capture Scarlett.
