CHAPTER TWELVE

Scarlett’s POV

As I slowly regained consciousness, I became aware of a throbbing pain in my head, and my vision was blurry and dark. I tried to make sense of my surroundings, but my surroundings were a blur. I blinked a few times, hoping to clear my head, but my vision remained blurry, and my head continued to throb. I looked around and realized that I was tied to a tree.

My heart began to race as panic set in, and I struggled against the ropes, trying to break free. But the ropes were tight, and they cut into my skin, leaving me trapped. I looked around, trying to make sense of where I was, but everything looked strange and terrible.

The trees around me were twisted and gnarled, and the ground was covered in a thick layer of fog. The air was thick with the scent of earth and decay, and in the distance, I could hear the distant howling of wolves. I couldn't tell where I was, and I didn't know how I had ended up here.
