CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR

Ethan’s POV

I stumbled backwards, struggling to keep my balance as the tremors from the explosion shook the ground beneath my feet. My mind raced with questions, and fear gnawed at my gut.

I tried to move forward, to help in any way I could, but my legs felt like they were made of lead. The scene in front of me was overwhelming, and I felt completely helpless.

As the initial shock began to subside, I looked around for my men. They had been scattered in the chaos, but I could see them moving towards me, their expressions a mix of fear and determination.

"We need to go. Now," I said, my voice urgent. The situation was dangerous, and I knew that we needed to leave before things got worse.

Without hesitation, my men sprang into action, their hands gripping my arms as they pulled me towards the exit. We moved as quickly as we could, dodging fallen debris and panicked people as we made our way towards the door.
