Skyler’s POV

"Oh, I understand, sweetheart! How about we pay a visit to Neo's pack? It could be a great opportunity for you to spend some time with his sister and enjoy each other's company for a few days once the Tamsin moon has passed," mom proposes.

Feeling a mix of frustration and disappointment, I express my concern. "She will most likely perceive me as a freak, too." My emotions intensify as I rise from the table, determined to leave the situation behind. Without wasting any time, I swiftly make my way towards the front door, hastily slipping on my shoes and snatching my bookbag. With a resounding slam, I exit the house and commence my journey towards school, my footsteps echo my determination to face the day ahead.

It's incredibly frustrating how I can never seem to catch a lucky break. I find myself muttering under my breath, feeling the weight of my frustration evident in my voice. To make matters worse, as soon as I enter the school, I unintentionally collide with the infa
