Skyler’s POV
In the midst of my history class, I find myself observing the peculiar behavior of those around me, as if they deliberately avoid acknowledging my existence. It's as if I possess an invisible cloak that shields me from their attention. As the customary introductions take place and we receive the syllabus, the teacher's monotonous lecture fills the room. I can't help but question the significance of studying history, as its relevance eludes me entirely.
In today's fast-paced and dynamic world, it is easy to dismiss the relevance and significance of the past. With our society constantly evolving and the rules and regulations constantly changing, it may seem unnecessary to dwell on what has already happened. However, as I indulge in the delicious rabbit and strawberries that my mom packed for me, I can't help but notice the immediate impact it has on my body. The nourishment from this meal awakens my senses, invigorates my muscles, and clears my mind, reminding me of the importance of taking care of myself and appreciating the present moment.
Since I was young, I have always been keenly aware of how different I am from my peers. While they spend their time discussing popular sports and movies, my interests lie in the mysterious and obscure realms. The excitement of exploring the depths of the forest, immersing myself in the art of hunting, and conquering towering trees has always brought me immense happiness and fulfillment.
At the tender age of thirteen, I experienced a profound realization that completely transformed my understanding of the supernatural world. It was during this time that I discovered my fascination with the supernatural extended far beyond the captivating tales of werewolves. What started as a passing hobby soon revealed itself to be a deep-rooted passion that consumed my every thought. As the days turned into months, I couldn't help but notice peculiar cravings for raw meat and blood, which were accompanied by an astonishing surge in strength and agility.
At first, I was overwhelmed with fear as I struggled to understand the strange transformations happening to me. The idea of turning into a terrifying creature plagued my thoughts day and night, and the mere thought of hurting someone filled me with terror. However, everything changed on my seventeenth birthday when my mother and I had a life-changing conversation that completely shifted my outlook.
The revelation that I received from her was truly remarkable. She made it clear that I am not just an average teenage wolf, but rather an exceptional being. She stressed that I am a genuine miracle, and that once I reach the age of eighteen and meet my destined mate, everything will fall into place. I will finally understand the motives behind their behavior, the bond that we share, and the reasons for my distinct appearance and desires.
My mother has pointed out that my uniqueness allows me to enjoy the benefits of eating regular food and exploring during daylight hours. This new realization has had a significant impact on me. I now understand why my eyes have a specific color and why my skin doesn't tan despite my attempts to do so.
Finishing my lunch and throwing away my garbage, I head towards my algebra class. A wave of assurance and self-belief engulfs me. I may possess unique qualities that set me apart from the rest, but I am also strong-willed and capable. The possibilities that lie ahead are endless, and who knows what destiny has in store for me? Maybe one day, I will possess extraordinary abilities that allow me to positively affect the lives of others. Much like the brave heroes I idolize in the cherished novels I adore. After all, what girl can resist the allure of a captivating romance book?
Soon as I reach my locker, I efficiently unload my morning books and swiftly gather the essential items for the afternoon. Once I securely zip up my bookbag, I confidently close my locker and pivot around, only to be greeted by the notorious "Bitch Squad" making their way out of the bathroom.
“Oh, look, it's the freak!” Samantha yells while pointing at me, just as they dump their lunch all over me, laughing.
“Fuck, why can't they just leave me the fuck alone? When they walk away, I grab another pair of clothes from my locker and head to the bathroom, not caring whether I am late for math. It's not like anyone wants me here, anyway. The bell rings right as I leave the bathroom and I make my way to class. The only chair that's left is by the jocks. Just fucking great.” I mumble under my breath.
“Poor Skyler, why are you even here? You shouldn't even be in this pack. We don't like half-breeds here.” Jock Charlie says slyly.
“As if I have any say in the matter, considering my father holds the position of Beta in our pack. It's a higher rank than anyone in your family could ever dream of,” I retort, with a hint of sarcasm.
“Watch how you talk to us, mutt, because the teacher may be around now, but they won't save you when school is out,” Jock Quinton laughs.
“Excuse me, but can I start the class now, or are you three going to continue disrupting the class?” Professor Trisha asks while tapping her foot impatiently.
When we all quiet down, she begins to discuss what lies ahead for us in the upcoming academic year. She then proceeds to hand out the syllabus and gives us instructions to start working on chapter one. Just as she finishes speaking, the sound of the bell fills the room, signaling the end of the class. In the midst of the commotion, my phone starts ringing, and I realize it's my mom trying to reach me. In a hurry, I swiftly gather my things and answer the call, making my way towards my creative writing class.
“Hey mom, what's happening?” I question, my voice tinged with confusion.
“Hey, I'm currently at the store, and I was wondering which color dress you'd prefer for the Tamsin moon? Also, what would you like for supper?” she asks with a hint of excitement in her voice.
“I must admit, I am in dire need of a soft shade of blue that not only enhances the beauty of my eyes but also complements my skin tone flawlessly. As for our dinner plans, I can't help but yearn for the delectable taste of venison or succulent steaks. The day has been nothing short of dreadful, and I am certain that once I step foot in the comfort of my home and allow myself to relax, my cravings will reach unprecedented levels.” I confess to her with complete honesty.
"Oh, sweetie, are they still giving you a hard time? Just make sure you don't let your anger out of control with your birthday and the upcoming Tamsin moon. Your emotions are going to be all over the place," Mom says with concern in her voice.
Skyler’s POV "Is there any chance you could call and ask the school to let me leave early? I'm feeling really overwhelmed and I just need to come home before I lose it. It's gotten to the point where some people in the pack are saying that someone like me, who is a half-breed, shouldn't even be a part of this pack anymore. It's really hurtful, and I think it's best if I just leave." I express my frustration and distress, hoping for some understanding and support. "Sorry, but you have to tough it out for the rest of the day; it's almost over. Remember, you're stronger than those people. Don't allow them to come out on top," Mom insists. As soon as my mom ends the call, I quickly spin around, only to collide head-on with the notorious "Bitch Squad." Talk about perfect timing, right? “Poor baby had to call her mommy boo hoo.” Samantha laughs in glee as they walk away. As I step into the creative writing class, a surge of excitement rushes through me because writing has always been
Mason’s POV As I wake up, I let out a sigh and glance at the clock, feeling a bit annoyed that it's already time to start the day. I slowly sit up and stretch my limbs, trying to shake off the grogginess and prepare myself mentally for what's to come. Once I feel a bit more awake, I get out of bed and head to the bathroom, ready to tackle my morning routine. This includes taking care of my personal hygiene and taking a nice, invigorating shower to wake me up fully. After completing my morning routine, a gentle tapping sound interrupts the silence. Without hesitation, my faithful beta, Cameron, bursts into the room, his countenance reflecting a serious demeanor. “Why the serious face this early in the morning?” I inquire with interest. “My daughter has informed me this morning that she is being bullied and harassed by students at school. And that the principle is worthless and blames her for everything.” Cameron says, frustration clear in his voice. “I'm perplexed as to why she ha
Mason’s POV "Gamma and Will, I kindly ask for your assistance in visiting the school and overseeing the activities of the principal. It is of utmost importance that we ensure the smooth operation of the institution," I express, making my way towards my desk and settling down in my chair. In an irritated tone, Will questions the reason for his presence. “What's the deal with me having to babysit the damn principal? What's happening at the school that requires my attention?” ‘See, he feels the same way. Why waste our valuable time and resources on that half-breed when there are stronger omegas that will make a better mate in our pack?’ Daemon retorts. “Cameron says his daughter is being bullied and harassed, and the principal is doing nothing about it and keeps blaming her.” I reply, looking over at Cameron as he nods in agreement. “Ill head over there after the meeting with Alpha Neo. He should be calling any minute now.” Will suggested. While I was occupied with a task, the
Neo’s POV “Hey, Alpha! A letter came for Beta Cameron's daughter today. The note on it says that the vampire queen sent it here so that Skyler will receive it and to keep it until Skyler shows up.” Royal says in confusion. “That's weird, not sure why mail for her would come here, unless the vampire queen knows something we don't. Ok, bring it to my office and I'll put it in a safe spot.” I reply back, confused. “Also, I just want to give you a heads-up. That we've got a call scheduled with The Wild Rose Pack in approximately twenty minutes.” my Beta Royal reminds me through our mind-link, ensuring I don't forget about it amidst the morning rush. “You know what's funny?” Jax chuckles, shaking his head. “I swear, Royal acts like we're clueless about what's happening in our daily lives and pack.” ‘We need to make sure that there is an out clause in case we need to break this alliance. I have a bad feeling about Mason's pack.’ Jax says nervously. ‘That's the strategy. Additionall
Neo’s POV “Oh shit, I really hope he doesn't notice the paperwork or bother to look at it until after the Tamsin moon. It's crucial that Skyler turns eighteen and discovers her soulmate by then,” Cameron anxiously expresses. “My pack is one phone call away, Cameron. We will not stand by and let anything happen to you or your family.” I told him firmly. “I will make sure that my border patrol is on alert in case you and your family need to run here for safety. Just keep me informed, please.” ‘Yes, we will protect them with our lives. They are family and no one messes with my family.’ Jax yells, pissed off. ‘Calm, Jax, we are there for them when they need us. Cameron will call me if he needs our help as soon as he gets the chance.’ I say reported. “Thanks for the heads-up. I need to get going to get some work done before Skyler gets home, and we start training. Besides, he is getting ready to head to The Naughty Hot Spot, so we won't see him the rest of the night,” He says, in a h
Skyler’s POV As I finished consuming the last drop of my second bag of blood, my father made his way down the staircase. In a swift motion, I gathered the empty blood bags and concealed them within a garbage bag, carefully tucking it away in my workout bag. Time was of the essence, as we had to hurry for our training session. "Feeling any better, sport?" Dad asks, tousling my hair with a grin. "DAD! What on earth possessed you to do that?" I grumble, my frustration evident as I desperately attempt to rectify the situation. While he stands there, amused, his laughter filling the room. "Let's do this!" I exclaim, leaping out of my seat as we make a beeline for the front door. Before going on our journey to Uncle Neo's pack lands, we take extra precautions to ensure the front door is firmly closed, prioritizing safety and practicality. Once we are comfortably settled inside the jeep, I waste no time in turning on the music, filling the air with the captivating melodies of timeless G
Skyler’s POV Following all the rigorous training and mental exertion to unleash my inner wolf, I found myself completely exhausted. I made the decision to recline on the earth and observe the vast expanse of the sky above. My father accompanied me, and we both lay there, absorbing the tranquility of the moment. It was a well-deserved respite before we returned home to share a meal with my mother. “Dad, I can't help but wonder why we haven't moved on from this group. It's disheartening to feel so isolated and unwanted, with no one to call a friend. The way I'm treated here is truly demoralizing, and it's taking a toll on my happiness. I long for a fresh start, where I can find genuine connections and be surrounded by people who appreciate and value me.” I sigh sadly while glancing at dad. “Living in our pack has provided us with a sense of security that we have not found anywhere else. You, my love, are one of a kind, and we cherish you more than anything. We know that your life ha
Mason’s POV Stepping into the Naughty Hot Spot. A mischievous grin naturally spreads across my face as I take in the abundance of alluring Omega pussy present tonight. ‘Damn, there is no way we are not getting fucked tonight and knotting some hot little piece.’ Daemon says excitedly. ‘Yes, we will find a girl that can barely handle our Knot and make sure we blow her mind,’ I tell him. The club is filled with omegas, scattered throughout the space, their attire revealing and completely sexy as they show off their bodies. They gracefully move and sway, dancing on the bar, tables, stages, and even on the laps of eager spectators. The energy in the air is palpable as these omegas command the attention of all those in their vicinity. With each stride, they exude a sense of confidence and allure that is impossible to ignore. Taking a seat at the bar, I order a refreshing gin and tonic, eagerly anticipating the arrival of Quinton and the start of the show. Quinton and I have revoluti
