Aria was waiting for Damien when he walked in.

He stood in front of her unsure of what to say, his arms flailing around him helplessly, Aria saw him and ran to him immediately wrapping her arms around him tightly.

He stood there awkwardly, he did not know whether to hug her back or not, he did not feel deserving of her.

Aria drew back and put her hands on either side of his face as she looked up at him, she wanted to memorize his face, she felt like she hadn’t seen him in so long. It had been two days, forty-eight hours of not seeing him, not hearing his voice, not feeling him around her, and it felt like it had been too long.

She reached up, standing on her tip toes and kissed him, Damien held her waist instinctively, as though his body had been fighting her touch, he needed her, he thought as he kissed her back.

They needed each other.

Her hands dug into his thick hair, holding it firmly as if she wanted to bring him closer to her, as if he wasn’t close enough.
