FLASHBACK

Aria's troubled mind was brought to a still immediately when she felt a larger hand slowly cover her own. At that moment, Aria didn't know how to feel, she definitely didn't see that coming, nor did she anticipate the things it was going to do to her.

Damien's cold hand encroached over Aria's balled up fist, he didn't actually know why he did it. Heck, all he knew was that his hand had acted out of its own accord while he watched her struggle with what he presumed to be related to her entering a jet for the first time.

At the feeling of his hand over hers, Ari realised that she'd been so anxious that her hands were firmly gripping the leather seat of the jet. The atmosphere was now riddled with self awareness.

Both Aria and Damien were so painfully aware of their connected hands but neither spoke up to acknowledge it. They all continued in their business like nothing happened, knowing fully well that there was something happening.
