ZAYN'S POV

As I paced back and forth in my room, my mind raced with thoughts of Alpha Ambrose and the impending war. A few days ago, I had sent my trusted companion Omar to go to Alpha Ambrose's pack and gather information on him, and I was eagerly waiting for his return.

On the day that he was meant to return, I was restless and continued to pace about in my room. Suddenly I felt my heartbeat quicken as I heard his voice outside my room. Finally, he was back. I heaved a breath of relief and turned my attention toward the door, waiting for him to walk in.
