Chapter 57

EVA'S POV

I watched as Zero walked out of my room, leaving me alone with a parting gift - a note. As my eyes scanned the page, I realized that this wasn't just any piece of paper. It was penned by Zayn himself, and it contained instructions that I had to follow. Zayn had given it to her when she snuck out to meet him. My heart raced as I read the words scrawled across the page. It was up to me to help Zayn and Zero's pack infiltrate Adrian's territory and I had to act fast. I felt like a traitor but I didn't feel bad about it. Adrian and his father deserved whatever was coming to them. I looked down at the note in my hands once again and took a deep breath.

The first task was to mark certain walls around the palace with weird symbols. It was a daunting task, but I had to do it. I didn't waste any time at all so quickly I grabbed a piece of chalk and made my way through the halls, my heart pounding with each step.
