Chapter 60

ZAYN'S POV

As I walked down the halls of the pack house, my heart was beating with anticipation. I was going to see Nikita – I hadn't seen her since the last time because I had been so busy. I promised myself that I would give her more of my energy if that's what she needed to wake up.

As I approached her room, my steps faltered for a moment. Would she even recognize me if she saw me? Would she be the same as before? My thoughts swirled around like a hurricane, threatening to drown me in doubt. But then, I reminded myself of the magic I possessed - the magic that had always made her happy.

With a deep breath, I pushed open the door and stepped inside. The room was quiet, the only sound I could hear was her rhythmic breathing. And then, I saw her – lying on the bed, her eyes closed. I approached her slowly then I reached out and grasped her hand, the warmth of her skin filling me with a sense of relief. And then, something miraculous happened. Nikita stirred and her eyes fluttered open
