I’m not sure which I’m more concerned about. That we were instantly surrounded by aggressive vampires, that they asked if this was another attempt at getting their aid, that they thought my brother was a snack, or that Dani and her sister were fighting.

It all happened so quickly. Thankfully Caleb arrived and ensured his clan didn’t attack us. And I suppose if he’s not worried about his mate and Dani fighting, we shouldn’t be either. He did say this is their tradition.

And it was adorable how warmly he greeted and welcomed Khalid. Khalid needs more people to see and treat him like family, no questions or conditions required.
