Once they were inside, Selena told Christopher that she was going to lay down for a while.
“All right, you can run, but you can’t hide,” he had said.
Selena had rolled her eyes and climbed the stairs.
After she had changed into a white T-shirt and baggy blue shorts, she lay on her back and dosed off. When she woke up, it was an hour later. She wanted to unpack the rest of the things for the nursery. Her plan was to call Beverly to see if she and Chuck could come over tomorrow so they could finish what they started.
