Chapter 16

Selena looked through the windshields, and the familiar cloak house came into view. Those places hold memories—unforgettable memories. She happened to get a call from Landon requesting that she come home. It sounded urgent, and immediately she packed up. As the car neared the house,she could see the side of the house, which had a beautiful green garden that was now filled with dead stalks. No one has taken on the duties of watering what brought peace to her heart ever since she left and was left to weed away. The flowers, which had roses decorated on the facade, have no life.

A lot has changed since being away from home. She halted the car, spread her hands apart, and inhaled the moist breeze of the forest.

"Home, sweet home," she whispered. She wouldn't tell how much she had missed the place. Her heart warmed up as she moved towards the entrance. Landon stood at the doorstep with a smile spread across his face.
