Monday, November 26th Pt. 2

“I’m sorry Jeremy.”

My voice has deepened on account of my partial shift scaring him even further.

“I promise I won’t hurt you. My voice and eyes may have changed but my teeth and hands remain the same.”

I smile at him briefly showing my lack of fangs before showing him my hands, which get larger in a partial shift versus smaller during a full shift.

I reach my arms out to him, inviting him to come closer.

“I allowed him to come forward in the hopes of comforting you.”

I try to explain softly. He nods his head but doesn’t move from where he stands.

“I’d like to pick you up. Is that okay?”

I try again to gain a little of his confidence despite his obvious fear of me. I stand and move slowly the few feet we have between us. I wrap my hands around his chest, under his arms but pause before lifting him, giving him a chance to protest the action.
