Kael could not take his eyes away from the sky-touching mountain ranges around him. The snowcaps had soared high in the orange sky, touched by the settling sun. He had heard before that these ranges were the borders of Glacia from the southern regions. And although he couldn’t see it, he knew there were highly-fortified walls above the mountains, with fat round towers to keep watch of the border.Ahead of the wide, snowy road—the village of Whiteground stood at the foot between the two mountains. Seeing the houses built with stones, the vast landmass, and the loud animal screeches had made Kael realize the huge differences between Frostwood village and here. There were no trees—only the cold rocks and metals filled the ground. At the end of the village rose the Cold Gates; a high wall with two towers and a black portcullis in between… and south beyond that wall laid the territory of the Galadhor region.“Let’s go,” Luna Stormwind spoke behind and trotted past Kael. She wore a brown fu
The sharp whine of the horses echoed through the darkness amidst the tall pine trees. Dark blood flowed on the sloped ground like a river in the mountain side. There had been a crash just a few seconds ago. After Luna had taken her first shots at the horses dragging the carriage, they stumbled hard, rolled down on the inclined, rocky ground until they hit against a huge trunk. The elegant, metal carriage gave a loud, clanging sound that pierced through Arth’s ears as it crashed. He took care of the four riders with the help of Luna’s arrows. How he ought to be impressed of her sharp eyes and accuracy, but he couldn’t think of anything else now. His heart raced faster than any stallion—breathless, as he rushed down towards the crash. The carriage fell upside down, leaning on the dark trunk of a tree with the two horses crushed in between.Arth slid down as fast as he could, not taking his eyes away from the carriage where its broken wheels had spun slowly in the air. The white-painted
“Why… am I back here?” Tristan said as he was standing on the foot of the Twin Mountains of the North. The same light was shining in between the two mountains. “Tristan… here me…” a dark voice called out in the sky. Tristan looked up. There was snow falling. The grey thick clouds blocked the light ray of the sun. “It’s you.” Tristan replied as he was looking above the clouds.“No time… to waste…” The dark voice echoed. “Collect the four frost orbs… time is running out… a great danger is coming…”Everything went black. “Danger?” Tristan repeated.“Tristan! Wake up!” Dianne shook Tristan’s shoulders as he was lying on the cold ground. Tristan snapped out and woke up suddenly. He was breathing shortly as he touched his chest.“Are you okay?” Robert said while standing in front of him. He gave Tristan his sword. “I… I’m fine. Where are we?” Tristan looked at his body and it was covered with sticky transparent liquid. His black hair was already wet with the seawater and his thick blue
The night was dark and cold as the crickets in the night only made the sound out of the silence of the vast dark woods.Kael was holding the rope of the horse following them while Luna was carrying a small torch. She led him towards the big tree up ahead. Kael saw a thick rope hanging on the branch of the tree. He looked up and noticed that the tree was alive not like the rest of the trees in the dark woods and the branches above rose a little higher than the dead trees. The big tree has a dark and oaky wood. The leaves were big and rose above the branches.“We’re here,” Luna said. “This is my hideout.”“Uhhh,” Kael looked around. “But we can be easily spotted here,” Kael replied. Luna smiled and pointed towards the big branches above them.“You’re serious?” Kael’s eyebrows rose.Luna stepped towards the base of the tree and wiped the thick white snow on the ground. There was a wooden door trap hidden beneath the snow and she opened it. It was a hidden underground container. Kael look
“You’re lost, Arth,” A voice echoed beyond the darkness. “Your unclear past brings your heart more hatred.”“I already know my past.” Arth replied while standing in the dark.“But you never understood anything, Arth. You are misled of your misunderstanding of the past. I am now going to show you everything.”Everything was illuminated. The brightness faded and Arth realized he’s in a different place.“Is… is this the Ice Crown capital?” Arth thought while he was standing in the big window and looking at the view of buildings and houses’ roofs all white. The kingdom has very wide territories that even the walls were very far from what he can see. The Ice Crown Glacier was not like the other kingdoms like Casterfall. It has huge landmass filled with cities and training grounds. From the outer walls of the kingdom, the lower ring was composed of normal people. The working class and the standard soldiers living in the same ring but they were satisfied with their life at that time. After
Along the main road of the Casterfall Kingdom, a competition is being held to choose who among the great warriors from the different villages of the northern kingdom are to become knights. "Warriors, prepare!" Grand Master Tera shouted as 24 participants have lined up in the starting line ready to run for the competition. It was a very loud day and a lot of people from the different places have come to watch the competition of warriors. Tristan, a fifteen year old warrior was one of those competitors representing his village, Frostwood. He was trained by the elder in the Frostwood village, Chief Gregor and sent him here to be trained as one of the knights of the Casterfall Kingdom. Every day, the chief trained Tristan to be a great warrior and taught him the values a knight must possess so that he can be prepared when the time comes. He believes that this is the time he is waiting for. He has to win this competition to become a knight and receive advanced trainings from the kingdom.T
The green woods and mountains of Ashenvale have spread throughout its entire region. The scent of the husky woods and the sound of the birds made the entire environment a natural and peaceful to be in.Maester Kael, wearing a blue cloak and carrying his valyrian sword, have gone through the green woods. The soft soil of the earth gave the maester a comfortable travel on it.The place seemed to be so magical. A strong spiritual energy can be felt by the maester in to the woods. The wisps have always protected their forest and brought life in it. Maester Kael thought as he walked in the pathway through the forest. He saw different friendly animals on his way through the woods. He encountered stags, birds, monkeys, and a hippo. Such beauty the forest holds. I have to get to the Guardian of the Forest as soon as possible. The maester thought. He crossed a shallow river ahead and jumped on the small rocks. After reaching on the other side, he saw a yellow butterfly flying towards him. The
“What happened to the kid?” Lord Nicholas was standing in the tiled path towards the entrance to the high garden. He was in his white sleeved clothing and brown pants. Grand Master Tera was there in the entrance of the garden looking at the fountains. The sky was cloudy but there was no snow falling. The snow that covered the grounds and plants made it seem that snow just fell earlier.Grand Master Tera looked above and saw the high towers of the castle. He sighed instead of turning to Lord Nicholas. “He’s gone.”“To where? The knights from Ice Crown Glacier became frustrated that they didn’t found the boy. You said he was there in his room?” The lord said. The Grand master turned to the lord, “I already said it, my lord. He’s gone. I don’t know how or why.”“And you were gone also by the time the knights searched his room. Is there something you’re not telling me, master Tera?” Lord Nicholas looked him in the eye as he walked towards him.“I was in my office, my lord. I just continu
