EDWARD’S FIRST PERSON POINT OF VIEW

“So what are you going to do now? Especially about this girl, Celia?” Tony asked.

Just then, my phone rang and Celia was the one calling. Talk of the devil. I did not pick her calls and when it got persistent, I put my phone on silence mode.

“Why are you not picking your calls?” Tony asked again when he saw me putting my phone off instead of picking the call.

“I do not feel like speaking with anyone over the phone right now with the mood this news just put me in.” I lied, although of course, the news spoilt my mood but that was not enough reason for me to not pick Celia’s call. It was what my grandfather had just said about her father. I was now unsure if I still wanted to be involved with her or her family hence I left her calls unanswered.

“It could be an emergency. Why not check what the person has to say first?” Tony said trying to reach for my phone, “Who is the person who would not let you be with calls?” I slapped his hands off as I picked m
