Leah POV

“I can't believe this!” I gasped. He was confidently lying to me.

“You have to believe me, Anne. I'm an Alpha for fuck sake!” He thundered, holding my arm. My heart melted when I saw how sorry he looked. He seemed to be telling the truth.

Did I doubt him? Yes, but I was going to give him a chance to prove himself. I couldn't fall for him like I did with Thomas. I didn't think my heart would be able to handle such damage.

“I believe you,” I whispered, saying it more to myself than to him.

“Are you sure?” He looked skeptical about my response so I smiled, showing him I was indeed serious.

“Yes, but you will have to prove it to me. Stephanie is very possessive of you, I don't want to be the reason her position becomes compromised,” I told him.

He nodded, pulling me closer and placed a kiss on my lips. “So, are we okay? I don't want you jumping into conclusions whenever you see me with her. My relationship with her will be strictly business.”
