I don’t know how long, I just sat there holding Athea’s hand. The medical staff have all been in every few hours checking her vitals, her IVs, and the wounds that she currently has bandaged. Yet it wasn’t just the medical staff that trickled into her room. As the day gave way to night, the first of my large family began to come in, starting with my father. 

“I heard what happened. How is she doing?” He asked me.

“I don’t know yet. Mari said she would make a full recovery. She looks like hell though.” I told him, staring at Athea. I couldn’t take my eyes off of her, for fear she would wake up and I would miss it. Miss her.

“She will make it through, have faith. But the pressing problem is, we don’t know if we can fully trust her after all that she has done.” My father said. Still, I couldn’t meet his gaze as my sole focus was on my swe
