Chapter Sixty - Visitors

“Mommy, where is Sebast—daddy?” Tain curiously asked while we were waiting for Cyrus in the lobby of the company.

“He went away somewhere I don’t know, but rest assured that he is safe,” I told him while smiling.

My son doesn’t have any emotions plastered on his face, “Mommy, why did you lie to me?” I heard him ask.

“W-We will talk about that at home. I promise you, I will explain.” I sighed deeply, but he didn’t say anything but nod.

After receiving a text from Cyrus that he was outside, we both decided to walk toward the main exit. I was about to hold his hands when he shoved them away.

“I-I’m sorry, Mommy, I don’t want to be close to everyone right now.” He whispered solemnly before approaching the car.

I felt my heart shatter after he did and said those words. Tears almost fell into my eyes before I decided to follow him.

Cyrus smiled at us after we had settled on the back, “I heard you were great, Tain, did you enjoy today?”
