43. Pleading for the first time

Damon placed me gently on his bed, then he proceeded to check my legs.

"How bad is it?" He asked, touching my legs lightly to see if they hurt.

"How hard did they push you?" He asked.

All the while he spoke, our eyes didn't meet but I stared at him, confused at his reaction towards me. Why was he acting as if he cared? Earlier he didn't care and that was why he decided to punish Asher.

"Why are you acting as if you care?" I muttered before my head could think but that seem to get his attention as he finally looked up at me.

He opened his mouth to say something but ended up not saying anything as he closed his mouth. He proceeded to check on my leg and during the process, he touched the part that I had sprained and I winced in pain.
