Alpha Jasper's POV

As the physician scrambled to his feet, his hand reaching for the door handle, I called out to him, halting his retreat. The room fell silent, every eye trained on the both of us.

"What is it, Alpha?" he asked, his voice trembling with apprehension as he turned back to face me. His gaze was filled with fear as he waited for me to speak.

With a cold smile playing at my lips, I spoke, my voice dripping with malice. "I want to punish you in another way," I declared.

I relished the fear that immediately flickered in his eyes. The physician's face paled, his hands shaking as he fell to his knees once more, tears welling in his eyes.

"Please, Alpha Jasper," he pleaded, his voice choked with desperation. "Have mercy on me. You do not need to punish me. I have learnt my lesson, please!"

But I shook my head. "Oh, no. I cannot let you go scot free, physician. This is the price you pay for betraying your Alpha," I proclaimed.
