Anna's POV

Swinging my hands, I began to head towards my new home, my head slightly bent to avoid the piercing looks of the pack members.

If anything, it disgusts me and makes me want to vent my spleen but there was nothing I could do. If I dared attempt what I had in mind, I would end up drawing more attention to myself and that would be the end of it.

Another thing I put in consideration was, I wasn't in my pack. If I allowed my instincts to control me and I ended up doing something stupid, those who I was running from would definitely catch up with me and I didn't want that to happen.

For the few weeks I had been living here, it had been peaceful and blissful at the same time. The only issue I had was the scrutinizing gaze I always received, more reason I loved staying indoors.

“Anna, what do you think?” Maya called and I immediately turned my head in her direction.

Smiling brightly at me, she was holding a ripe mango which I knew was going to be juicy.

Salivating, I covered
