Chapter 30

Eero’s perspective

Alpha Claudius wrapped his arm around my body to make sure that I was well protected before our body plunged to the depth of the sea.

I was staring into his eyes. The worried look in his eyes was the last thing that I can remember, before everything went dark, and I felt the winter – like coldness of the sea.

The sun was about to set when I slowly regained my consciousness. A harsh wave pushed me further to the shore. I slowly got up, feeling a little dizzy. I sat on the sand and clutched my head, hoping that things will stop spinning each time I looked at it.

Before I could fully recover, Alpha Claudius and Caspian crossed on my mind. I immediately looked around, but I couldn't find them anywhere near me.

Fear began to hammer my chest. I was worried that something bad might have happened to them. I looked on top of the cliff and found no one. Alpha Ameo and his men probably left us alone after they thought that we passed away from the fall.
