“What do you still want from me? And don't give me the bullshit that you want me back in the pack because I am your daughter, and we are a family.”

“Oh, sweetie. I thought we were over that? We offered to welcome you back warmly, which you declined.” Alpha Ameo leaned closer to me, as if he was memorizing all my facial features. He even fixed my hair for me, and then he smiled malice.

“With everything that happened, I’m afraid we can't give you that same offer twice,” he said before settling back near his wife.

Luna Vera was glaring at me too. She was jealous of the way her husband touched me.

“And stop playing dumb. You know why we must have you back.”

“If there's someone whom you should be helping with your special gift—”

“I will never use this power to help anyone from this pack. I loathe every single lycan in this territory!”

“Oh, you do?” Luna Vera asked as she grabbed my hair, pulling it harder with each second that passed.

“If you won't use your power
