I wanted to stop him, but I couldn't, as it would be pointless if I didn't have the right to begin with.

I kept telling myself that I couldn't think about him anymore because there were more important things to do.

Edward dropped me off at my newly vacant villa and suddenly asked, "Are you sad that he's leaving the country today?"
