Chapter 22

Unlike how they usually dine together, the two of them were quietly eating at the diner that they have eaten at before. They left the office in a hurry and drove quietly to the said restaurant. Anthony parked the car just right across the street, and the energy as they left the car was the same as they drove towards the Restaurant.

It was quiet and awkward. Almost dead silence.

"So, what do you want to order?" Anthony finally broke the silence when he asked the question.

Lissa simply answered with a soft and uninterested. "Just the usual."

And just like that they've ordered the same thing they had last time--- which was almost a month ago and as they ate, they only stole a few glances at each other.

Ever since Angel got into the picture, it's like a rift had been placed between them, creating a space in their own blooming friendship.

And Lissa can't seem to see why.

Since Anthony's office was always closed and everyone is too busy to wonder off someplace else and chit-chat with the two
