Aaro’s pov

I stayed in the shed for much longer than was safe. But the blood loss and wolfsbane had tired me out. Not to fucking mention that I hadn’t properly slept in days.

"Aeryn, we need to go."

"Just five more minutes."

"Aeryn! I can smell him." Delta said. "It’s faint, but Storm is near. We need to run now."

I looked down at my body, and it was healed, but a scar remained where that woman had stabbed me. My leg still hurt from where I was shot, and I was pretty sure the bullet was still inside. She was supposed to be allied with the Iron River pack, yet she hurt me without so much as a second thought. I thought we were more civil? I thought we didn’t fucking torture people.

Or maybe anything is fair in war.

"The saying is, all is fair in love and war." Delta said.

I was pretty sure Storm didn’t have love on his mind right the fuck now. I looked out of the small window of the shed and saw the area was clear, but in the distance, wolves were coming. How the fuck did Delta smell him

I cried while writing this chapter, which must mean I'm pms-ing. lol. But I wanted to give you a long proper reunion. I hope you liked it. I needed Aeryn to be gone at least a few weeks, because otherwise it wouldn't fit with the ending if the Iron Alpha. So I hope it makes sense. thank you for all the kind comments. I so enjoy writing this story for you all and you're making a lot more fun by being so passionate about every chapter. I actually was planning not to write and clean. But i was inspired. So now. I really do need to clean the house.
