Eve’s pov

I smiled, seeing Aeryn and Storm together. That’s all I ever wanted: for Storm to be happy. I didn’t care if he became the next alpha; I only wanted him to have a good life and be a good person.

Being the alpha’s mate isn’t going to be easy, and people will think things about him and insult him, but Storm really doesn’t seem to mind. Which is a relief. I wish Lex could have seen Storm like this. The exact opposite of his father. Storm didn't care about power; he wasn't paranoid or mean.

This Storm in front of me isn’t a man people need to fear; he’s open, and it makes everything I went through worth it.

That’s not to say that if I could change things, I wouldn’t. Oh, I definitely would. I wouldn’t be taken by Ruby and tortured for weeks. I would have taken Storm away from all of this and never told Lex I was pregnant.

I love getting Eve’s perspective. I need more Eve and Zayne. Can we have Zayne and Eve have a full conversation? It will help them heal and build a friendship to start.
