Chapter 10 - Bonnie Walton

Bonnie POV

I’m standing in the arrivals area at JFK Airport. Peter is arriving today and I can’t wait to see him. I am holding a small sign that we always use whenever one of us has to travel. I smile, looking at the sign in my hand. I move my eyes to the entrance and when I see him; I lift the sign above my head. “Welcome back. Last time was closed. I am glad your wife arrived late and didn’t catch us together.”

I can tell he’s seen me as his smile grows. “I’m glad my wife doesn’t care about me,” he says, dropping his bag on the floor and wrapping his arms around my waist, lifting me up as he kisses me softly.

When he puts me back down, I look around, and I can see everyone’s shocked faces looking at us. “I guess we might have to change signs,” he says, and I laugh, nodding as he grabs his bag, throwing it over his shoulder and wrapping his other arm over my shoulder.
