Chapter 33: Her home.

The look on Arthur's face told her that he wasn’t surprised to see her standing outside his door.

And that was when it hit her that he had perceived her scent and that he would have heard her when she was walking towards his study.

“What's wrong? Why is your heart pounding in your chest?” He asked her.

“Well… nothing, nevermind, sorry for disturbing you,” Amelia quickly apologized and immediately turned to leave.

“Wait,” Arthur ordered, causing Amelia to stop in her tracks.

She turned and saw Arthur staring at her with a cold expression on his face.

“Get in,” he ordered and he moved aside so she would be able to enter his study.

“I’d rather not,” Amelia said, not wanting to be alone with Arthur.

“Get.in!” Arthur said with more authority this time. Amelia took a deep breath before walking into Arthur’s study and as soon as she was inside his study, he entered and closed the door.

This was the first time Amelia was inside Arthur’s study as all she could say was wow.
