Chapter Forty: Stop trying to kill me

Maybe it was the peaceful atmosphere that made her so comfortable doing so.

“For the first time in my life, I saw what they looked like and I look a lot like my mother,” Amelia said nostalgically as she remembered her mother’s face.

“And my dad was very handsome but they couldn’t live to see us grow up.”

“The other protector?” Arthur asked.

“Yes, my sister,” Amelia answered. “I don’t even know if she is alive or whether she died after the hydras attacked my parents.”

“Hydras attacked your parents?!” Arthur exclaimed in shock.

“Yes, my nightmare was about their last moments with my sister and I before they went to fight the hydras,” she stated and tears started to roll down their eyes as she relived the last moments of her parents lives

Arthur usually hated people crying where he was but Amelia’s cry just made him restless instead of angry.

And so, he got up from his seat and walked over to the bed. “Come, it’s okay,” he said pulling her into his hands.
