Friends

The plane that I had hoped was taking me to see my parents, took me home instead. Though my heart dropped at not being able to see my parents, I could not help but be excited to return to the only place I ever knew. We flew over the town center and passed my old high school. Landing at the private airport.

I was still in shock when the wheels hit the ground.

As soon as our feet touched the tarmac, Anna said, "Where to first?"

I was so happy; I didn’t know where I wanted to go first. But I knew where I needed to go. I gave the address to the driver of the SUV, Alex rented. And in less than twenty minutes, I was truly home.
