Chapter 16 The offer

The next morning…

"Yes, send the footage to me immediately. Don’t let any of the staff take a leave today. I will question them on my own." A male voice inside the room disturbed Natasha’s sleep.

She rolled to her side and slowly opened her eyes.

An overwhelming headache forced her to close her eyes back. It felt like someone was splitting her skull open. She winched and pressed her brow.

"I need her phone call details, too," the man continued to say.

Natasha opened her eyes with a squint and saw a tall figure standing beside a window, a towel wrapped around his waist. Only his broad bare back was visible.

Natasha’s vision was blurry. She frequently blinked to get a clear view, wondering who this man was and why he was in her room.

Room…

The curtain appeared to be different from the one in her room. She gradually started to remember the phone call she had received last night.
