After Reese’s mom left, she went inside the room, and Lucy, who was laying down on the bed when she stepped inside, quickly jerked up and rushed to where Reese was standing, worried and curious to know how the conversation with her mother went.

"What did she say?" Lucy quickly asked.

Silence fell as Reese averted her gaze away from Lucy, unable to tell her how her mom threatened to make her suffer if she didn’t go back to London with her.

Her silence bothered Lucy, and she jumped full-steam on the worry train.

"Tell me what happened." Lucy demanded, her eyes searching Reese’s face for answers.

"It’s nothing." Reese forced a smile, as she ventured further into the room and sat on the bed.

Lucy knew she was hiding something, and she wondered what it was that her mother told her that she was hiding. She was really worried about her, but it was obvious that she didn’t want to talk about it and that she wasn’t going to press her.
