Two days later, there was still no sign of Zach. Nevea had given up waiting. If he wanted to be alone, so be it.

“Fuck him,” Nevea grumbled as she scooped the food into her mouth.

The dining area was so quiet, and she was the only one sitting at the table, like some rich woman who lives alone.

“Can I visit Kiara today?” She asked Silas, who stood rigidly at the corner of the room.

“I am afraid you should wait for Mr. Dacre, Ms. Nevea.” Came Silas’ replied. It was still the same as yesterday. “If you are bored, I can accompany you to walk around the house.”

Nevea waved her hand in the air. She remembered every corner of the house and didn’t want to waste more time strolling again.

“What about Lola? How is she?”

“Still screaming nonstop and cursing you, of course.”

“Right,” Nevea replied weakly.
