“When is soon? Tomorrow is not promised just tell me now.” She asked her husband desperately and he smiled.

“I never said tomorrow, I said Soon.” Jerald said as he walked pass her and she sighed. She walked over to the bed and started to put pillow on the middle.

“What are you doing?” Jerald asked so calmly and she rolled her eyes.

“What does it look like?” She responded his question with another one. She was just creating a boundary between them.

He looked at her and shook his head. He took the first aid kit and sat on the bed. He took off his shirt and she gasped.

“Are you in pain?” She asked.

“What kind of question is that?”

“The type of question that needs an answer. Are you in pain?” Jennifer asked so calmly as if she wasn't the woman screaming few minutes ago.

“No. I'm not in pain.” Even a blind man would see that Jerald is in pain.

“I can see you're in pain, you know.” Jennifer said walking towards him and stopped a few feet from him.
