I had to walk from the princess as soon as Genevieve took off into the forest. I just didn't trust myself alone with her. Everything in my body wanted her close to me, but I knew that if I gave into the urge I would never let her go. It was easier this way, to keep myself secluded from her. I knew she would never understand, but until she came of age, this was the best choice for both of us.

I was sitting in my office going over some kingdom paperwork when there was a knock on my office door. I sensed her from the other side of the door, and though I knew I shouldn't answer it, I couldn't help myself as I stood. I opened the door to see the magnificent beauty that my mother had created for me and once again I found myself in awe of her. I had to admit, the goddesses had truly outdone themselves in creating the timekeeper princesses.
