Taking a vocation

"I could use a place to stay," Dayen said to the mysterious man.

The man asked Daylen to follow along with him. They walked further into the village with everyone stopping to stare at Daylen.

"If I am going with you, I should at least get to know your name," Daylen let out striding next to the male.

"Syvan," the male introduced himself.

They moved to the outskirts of the village across the bridge to the wooden cabin on the other side of the river.

Syvan opened the door to the cabin, he ushered Daylen into the house. The living room of the cabin was neatly arranged. White chairs are arranged all around the room. The wooden table in the middle of the room had a vase with fresh flowers and plates filled with sea shells.

Syvan hung his keys by the door and walked to the kitchen to make a snack for his guest. Daylen made himself at home. He set Sky at the arm of the chair and laid his head back on the chair.
