There is a light knock on my door and in walks my parents and brother with a cupcake and lit candle.

“Happy birthday darling,” says mom.

“Happy birthday sweetheart,” says dad.

Kai twirls his finger and whispers some incantation and suddenly confetti rains down in my room from nowhere.

“Happy birthday sis.”

“Thanks guys,” I reply as I blow out the candle on the cupcake.

Irena rests just on the surface and I can see my parents smile at her.

“So I hear you’ve been with our daughter for quite some time Irena,” says my mother with a teasing look on her face.

I allow Irena to push through so she can speak to my parents.

“Yes, the moon goddess believed it necessary I meet Kat sooner rather than later to help control her powers. I have always been in control so she never lost control.”

“I see. I wish you would’ve at least told us,” says my mother.

“Well that is in the past and today is a happy day. Skye has already been ordering everyone around ensuring everything is in order,” l
