Chapter 46

Summer’s POV

I know I passed out at some point.

Because I woke up with a jolt. Smelling salt. URGH, the scent is disgusting, like a strong bleach. I have never liked it. I even hated using them during my medical training. But they served a purpose, just like now.

I don’t know how long I was unconscious for. It can’t have been long. I raised my head just enough to see Max in a cage. He holds Eden, who appears to still be unconscious. Alexis still isn’t awake. I tried to shout at Max. But my throat is so dry, I can only cough.
