Maya almost trembled from fright. She yelped as soon as her back hit the wall forcefully. Nevertheless, she would not easily back down. Thus, with all her strength, she stepped on his foot.

Pedro groaned in pain but did not let her go completely. He was glaring at her when he removed his hand from covering her mouth.

“You’re going to break my limbs!” Maya said as soon as he let him talk while glaring at him murderously.

She was trying hard to push Pedro off her, but he was obviously stronger.

Thankfully, he lessened his grip further. “You are courageous, Maya,” he said with a grin, but his eyes were looking at her coldly.

Maya continued to glare at him, not showing any signs of backing down. She gathered her strength and pushed him away. This time she was successful.

However, Maya was still cautious. “Stay away from me, or I will tell Pete,” she said as she continued to look at him with all the anger
