15. Tug of War
On the night of the dance, I got ready excitedly. I couldn't wait to see the shocked looks on people's faces when I show up with none other than THE Aaron Morris! I finally felt like a confident queen.

A week went by, but Jake didn't do or say anything to me. I was in full panic mode. What did Jake have in store for me? What kind of punishment was he talking about? Ugh! I'm gonna go crazy! I should feel relieved as Aaron was so nice about the whole thing, but I still felt an ache in my heart. Something just felt wrong. Why couldn't I get Jake out of my mind?
