34. A New Face
I felt like it was all my fault for creating this messy situation. I shouldn't have gone out with Aaron to spite Liliana. He was an amazing guy, and he deserved better. I hoped this situation wouldn't mess up the relationship between the two brothers.
"What are you thinking about?" Jake asked me. We were hanging out at Jake's front yard after school.

"You have the audacity to think about my brother when I am sitting right in front of you?" he remarked.

On the night of the dinner, I sat in front of Jake and Aaron's parents. The atmosphere was intimidating. "So you are Jake's girlfriend? Jake never brought a girl before, so this is a surprise," Jake's mom Tracy raised her eyebrows at me. What's so surprising about it? I thought but didn't ask. I pushed Aaron off, but it was a little too late as Jake saw us kissing. I prayed that he didn't misunderstand me. All I wanted was to comfort Aaron because I felt bad for him. I nervously knocked on his bedroom door. I hoped Aaron was telling me the truth and Jake wanted me back as much as I wanted him. "GO AWAY, AARON! I said I don't wanna come out," Jake and from inside. "It.. it's Jane," I said. The door flew open. "Janey!" he cried and threw his arms around me and pulled me into a hug. I buried my face in his chest. "Who would do this!" Macie cried. "I have an idea," I said. Jake looked at me with surprise. "You do?" It turned out. My parents hadno problem with Aaron tagging along with his girlfriend. More the merrier, they said. So off we went, onour family trip. Never in my life have I imagined that I would be vacationing with the Morris brothers. Maybe I was in the twilight zone. The ride to my grandma's house went smoothly except for the fact that Liliana glared at Macy once in a while. Four of us decided to go to an amusement park. It was a nice day out, perfect for some outdoor activities. "Oh, look! A Ferris wheel. Let's ride that. Things went back to normal after the trip. No more Trevor vandalizing Aaron's properties and no more ex-boyfriend drama, at least, for now. Aaron gave Bella an awkward apology which she accepted wholeheartedly. It seems that she decided to ignore Aaron's harsh treatments against her and continued to obsess over him despite him having a girlfriend. What a persistent girl! It was near graduation, so Jake and I prepared for college. Jake was taking a year off so he could be with me despite my protests. "We are applying at the same college because you are not allowed to be separated from me," he declared. "Excuse me...don't I have anything to say to this, Mr. Possessive?
