Chapter 5: Conquer Sage Academy

THE rest of the day, Caspian has been working very hard with Mr. Ambroise to study about the basics in the 21st century. He's been reading books about Adolescents, the Youth and the Millennial Era. I can hear Mr. Ambroise complimenting him non-stop for being able to catch on well and quickly. Though, that's to be expected since he is a Prince.

And right now, I'm lazing around in my room, scrolling down my phone's I*******m. My friends kept posting non-stop about their luxurious summer vacations and even more luxurious souvenirs. I wasn't stuck in the house during the entire summer break, we went on a one-month trip to Europe, hoping from one country to another every week. Of course, the food there is exquisite!

And after that, my friends from the Valler Organization went to Japan for an entire week as well, so my summer wasn't all that boring. Except when I had to undergo hard core training and lessons as the Heiress. Now that, almost killed me. Just kidding, I wouldn't say that I literally almost died, it was a figure of speech.

Suddenly, I had a call from Seoul. Don't get the wrong idea, it's not the capital city in Korea, but a name of a person. Seoul Ruxcielle Vincent is an incoming 1st year college student majoring in Culinary Arts. She's 20 years and she's like a sister to me. I wonder why she called?

"Hello? Seoul?"

"Adharia! You picked up, how are you doing?" She asked. It sounded like she was in a car, she must be going somewhere. "I'm doing well, Seoul. What's the news?" I replied and waited for her reply when an ear shattering sound she made, made me drop my phone. What the fish?! "Seoul? Is something wrong? My ears almost cracked." I told her and she giggled, "Guess what? I'm finally engaged to Ezra!"

Oh. Oh? OH!

"KYAAAAAAH! CONGRATULATIONS!" I exclaimed and shook the teddy bear beside me. Sorry teddy, I'm too hyped right now! This is all for a good cause.

"I know right? Gosh, I didn't really expect that both our parents agreed. I'm so happy!" She squealed again, "Let me guess, you're on your way on a date right now, right?" I asked excitedly. "Yes! How did you know?" She gasped and I chuckled, a woman's intuition sista'!

"I have my ways. Anyway, you should be aware that Ezra is the noble type, so he'll most likely greet you with a bouquet of your favorite flowers since he's a gentleman. I have a few ideas on what kind of date he's taking you, but I won't spoil it for you." I deduced, no I stated since it's definitely a fact.

"Gosh, you're really smart! Kyah, I can't want to see him! Anyway, I only told you about this first. Wish me luck!" She said and I sighed. This reminds me of how single I am. Welp, I don't have any plans on getting into a relationship after all. So whatever!

"Good luck on your first date, Seoul!" I cheered her and ended the call.

I then heard a knock on the door, he called my name and I knew it was Caspian. I opened the door and faced him, "What's up?" I asked him and he smiled sweetly, "Nothing much, I just wanted to see you," This punk! "Oh sure, what is it?" I wasn't buying that cringe line by a second!

"You're really a sharp one. Okay fine, it's about the Academy we'll be attending tomorrow."

Oh, right! Brother enrolled him to the same school as I am. This is certainly a part of his scheme to lure the Rohas Organization slowly but surely. Now that I think about it, I'm pretty confident that Caspian will be able to fit in quickly with the others at school. It might be a new environment for him since there weren't any schools in the novel, since it was ever mentioned, but there might be? Even so, I'm really sure he didn't go to one since he was home schooled in the Palace. Nevertheless, given the situation, since he's been to the worst, he can do this no sweat.

"What about school? Don't tell me the greatest Hero of the Leonhart Empire is anxious about something so insignificant?" I scoffed and smirked at him.

"Very funny, Ria. I just wanted to confirm a few things, don't underestimate me, kid." D-Did he just call me 'kid'?! Now that's just below the belt!

"Kid?! Excuse me, I'm a few months away from turning into an adult! I'm not a kid!" I hissed like a cat and I can almost hear my hisses.

"Still, you're underage."

"Underage my butt! I'm already mature!"

"Says the girl who gets irritated by mere teasing."

"A-Ah.." He got me. D*mn! "Fine, I give up Mr. Smooth-talker. So what do you want to confirm?" I surrendered and rolled my eyes. I then flopped into the couch and folded my arms across my chest, "Why is the school dubbed as SAGE Academy? Is that some kind of acronym? Or probably a hidden message?" He asked and I nodded.

He catches up pretty quickly, eh?

"That's right. SAGE Academy is derived as as Science of inventiveness, Artistic brilliance, Grandeur of Talents and Etiquette of modern nobility. Since SAGE Academy was founded by Mr. Sage Keith who was someone who had a playful knack in studying magic. Though in our world, magic never existed, but he was allured by the study of magic and fantasy that he built SAGE Academy to fulfill his life-long dream. But the school later on evolved after he passed away." I explained utterly.

"If magic never existed then how did your human race evolve?" He quizzed. Ah, I think the question is getting way too off track? He's becoming an obsessed science student right now.

"Change is inevitable. The human evolution are prone to inquisitiveness and a complex mind, thus the development progressed as time travelled, humans tend to seek superiority which was always in our nature that's why they get obsessed in something, they were slaves to what they believe in and lived most of their life trying to prove it. But scientifically speaking, according to Charles Darwin, a naturalist, biologist and geologist believed that humans were originally apes which later on matured physically and mentally successfully becoming humans. He states that there are evidences that humans share the same traits originating from apelike ancestors. But of course, everyone has their own idea." I shrugged helplessly.

He's really testing my mind now, hm?

"That's an eccentric yet interesting theory on human evolution. But regardless, for my main query, what happens in a school?"

"High school can be described as a playground. It's a rollercoaster of emotions where adolescents prey on an emotion called 'like' or 'love' and form a bond through a relationship. It could be the need of friendship, the will to become the best among your peers, and of course the value of learning. Basically, this is where you get judged based on your appearance, where cringe worthy drama brings laughter or sympathy or sadness to the class, where you worry for school work but you aren't, where you fail the big test you've been studying for all night, where you will make friends and enemies, get into fights and painful lessons, see people you don't want to see OR where self-esteem and innocence go to die."

Yeah, I was being half-sarcastic since there are some truths there.

High school sucks! The only great thing about it is when it will end. Even if I'm a genius, there's a limit to how tolerable I can be. Gosh, I have so much complaints!

"Do you have a hard time in high school?"

"Not necessarily. I'm pretty much a walking genius anyway, but I just hate it when my alarm clocks wakes me up every morning out of my free will and my beauty sleep gets disrupted. I also hate it when I get to see people I don't like and I hate exams since it takes effort." I complained.

I mean, I'm not that kind of nerd, okay?! I don't like studying unnecessary knowledge when it won't be used for my career! Argh. School gives me pimples. Pimples!

"Dude, you're asking so much questions! Gimme a break, I wanna sleep."

"It's already evening and you still haven't had dinner. You have to eat first before you sleep," He reminded in a matter of fact tone.

This jerk! Since when did he become the boss of me?! Argh! He's pissing me off!

"Ugh! Do I have to? I just wanna sleep. I just wanna sleep! Waah!" I wailed and punched my pillow several times, "A healthy meal is good for the health and nutrition. Don't make me count to 3 or I'll pull you off the bed." He warned, I glanced at him and he was snickering at me.

Do I look funny to you, huh?! He's seriously treating me like a child! Please, spare me!

"You wouldn't dare," I glared.

"Oh, I would."

"Shut up,"

"1.."

"You're not even scary, good night."

"2.."

"As if that'll faze me up? You gotta try even better than that punk,"

"3.." He yanked me up the bed and carried me bridal style. Oh my god! His chest! His chest! My heart, my heart! "C-Caspian?!" I shrieked, "I told you, you should have listened to me kid." Argh!! This heartless imbecile! D*mn!

"You can put me down now, sheesh!"

He placed me down and I stomped my feet on the way downstairs. I can't believe he did that! Now I won't be able to sleep without thinking about it, my mind is so gonna go crazy.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

D-DAY. Today was D-Day. The official start of classes, the official start of hell. I woke up to the ANNOYING alarm clock that disrupted my peaceful sleep. I was so pissed that I whacked it to the wall to kill it. Now it won't be able to piss me off.

"Beautiful morning, Miss Adharia." Lucy greeted me with a huge smile, holding a bath towel on her hand.

"What's so beautiful about it? Tch." I murmured and stretched my arms and grabbed the towel and went to the bathroom.

After taking a bath, Lucy helped me wear my uniform and to get ready. Our school's uniform is a gray pleated skirt that is six inches higher than my knees, a white short-sleeved polo, a neck-tie with a plain silver neck-tie clip and a Denim coat with golden buttons and outlines, two pockets and the school's emblem. I wore white socks that almost reaches my knees and a Chanel Simon loafer shoe.

Honestly, I do like my uniform since it compliments my natural beauty. Heh.

"There you are Miss, you look very beautiful," Lucy complimented after she finished styling my hair. She did a left sided braided headband and it looks so cute! "Thanks Lucy, it looks so pretty." I thanked her and she nodded, "Of course, this is the day you flaunt to those girls Master Caspian is your boyfriend." Pfft.

She's really thinking in advance, eh?! Stop it with that boyfriend thing or I might really ask him out! Eek! I'm so shameless, more shameless than a naked person!

"Shut up, Lucy. Just keep your paws to yourselves," I snapped.

"Yes, Miss. I understand." She grinned. Nope, she doesn't understand me. That smirk is sending me chills down my spine. Eek!

I went downstairs, slinging my school bag on my right shoulder. I feel so lazy and I just want to go back to my bed but I suddenly felt a different sensation when I saw Caspian wearing the same uniform as I am but looking so drop dead handsome. My eyes grew wide and I can feel my cheeks blushing, I puffed my cheeks and slapped them to focus myself.

D*mn boy! You look so fine~

"Wow Ria, you look beautiful." He complimented me. Oh gosh! He complimented me, kyah!

"Ahem, you don't look too bad yourself," I coughed and smiled anyway, "Let's just have breakfast." I added and we went to the Dining Hall where my Aunt and Ecklis were waiting for us. They didn't really need to see us out, ya' know!

"Goodness, you two look so good in those uniforms. Gosh, so this is the picture I will treasure," she said and used her hands to form a square, picturing us together. "Thank you, Aunt Amethyst," Caspian beamed a smile and she adored him. Since when did those two get so close? Tch!

"You're so handsome Caspian, like a K-Pop idol! Kyah!" She giggled. Wow, K-Pop idol my butt.

"Of course, I'm really handsome," he replied and I rolled my eyes. Wow! The audacity of his confidence is deeper than the Atlantic ocean.

"And oh my, Ria! You look like a fairy, so sophisticated." Aunt turned around to me, Meh!

"Of course, noona is pretty-pretty. No one is prettier than noona." Ecklis boasted and took a bite of the egg on his plate. Please! Spare me from facts!

"That's right. No one is prettier than Ria!" Aunt, you too?! "Yeps! Noona is a goddess, mommy! Bow down you peasants!" My foot! What the hell happened to you two?!

They slapped their hands and got really hyped up. Is this even normal?!

"Hate to break your hype, but we gotta go. We'll just drive through McDonalds, so bye~" I cut them off and pushed Caspian awkwardly.

"Let's go Caspian or we'll never get out of this alive," I told him and quickly pushed him outside the front door and into the car. The BMW X5 M's latest model that my Brother just bought last month, he gave it to me for school after using the Mercedes S550 for two consecutive years now.

I'm not really a sucker for expensive cars, but my Brother is a HUGE car collector and he loves his cars. No one is allowed to touch, see, ride or drive his babies when he doesn't give permission. As for me, I only have these two but what the heck!

"So this is a car.. impressive.." I heard Caspian muttered as he looked at it with awe.

"Majestic, right? My Brother bought it for me just a month ago," I boasted. Hmph! You should bow down to its gloriousness since there are no cars in your world. All hail the car you peasants!

"Yeah, so cool." Oh, he's using slang words quite a few times now. That's good! "And hhm.. How does a car cost?" He added. "An average car costs about $38,000 but luxury cars usually cost even more like $200,000 more or less." I said.

"W-What?! That much?!  Can't you buy a house with that much money?!" He exclaimed.

"Hey, why are you so surprised? You're a Prince, isn't this normal for you?" I pointed out.

"Well.. Yeah, but the value in your world and mine are different." He scratched his head a little.

"Yeah. Let's just get inside before you ask even more questions," the driver opened the door for us and greeted us warmly. He went inside and started the engine as my baby came to life, he opened the airconditioning and started to drive in a careful yet swift manner.

"Mr. Jean, please drive through McDonalds first before we go head to school." I instructed.

"Yes, Miss. As you wish," he replied and nodded.

Caspian looked like a child who was on his first ride in an amusement park and he didn't know if he should be scared or excited. He stared outside and watched the busy city's show, "How is it?" I asked him and he turned to me, "This is definitely different from back home. But it's a good kind of different," he said and I was satisfied.

"Are you uncomfortable anywhere? This is new for you, right?"

"Yeah, I'm not dying yet, so I'm good." He replied and I rolled my eyes. Ha-ha. Very funny.

"Sorry if I pushed you earlier, was it uncomfortable?"

"I'm fine, don't sweat it." Another slang ya'll!

"All right. By the way, the uniform suits you really well," I praised since he really looks so cool! "Yeah? I think so too," he replied and smiled.

"I'm a 100% percent sure you'll become the new campus heart throb when you enter the Academy. I can imagine those girls drooling and squealing over you as they die of elation because of your existence. They'll probably worship you like a god." I shrugged and he chuckled.

"Really? A god?" He echoed.

"Yeah, just like at you. Perfection rolled into one, the total package."

"Then you must be the goddess, right?"

"Duh, isn't it obvious? I don't even need to try too hard since it flows naturally, dude." I said.

"So what do they call you? You must have some title, right?"

"Yeah. Goddess Ace, Campus Princess, or whatever they come up with. You should know, I'm betting my entire week's allowance that a crowd of blockheads will welcome me in the school's gate holding bouquets of flowers or boxes of chocolates wanting to confess to me, right now." I said and he bursted out laughing.

D*mn! That laugh is contagious! I need bleach! Holy water!

"Then should I call you 'Your Majesty'?" I've said it thrice and I'll say it again, "You catch up pretty quick. But no, I just want to stand there and glare at them, that should mark your territory."

"Hm.. Sounds fun, I'll do it." He agreed with a smirk.

Now this'll be interesting, hehe.

The driver told us that we're heading towards the drive through station already. We ordered food and ate on the way to school. McDonals is really the best! Kudos.

"Miss Adharia, Master Caspian, we have arrived at SAGE Academy. I hope you have a good day." The Driver said and opened my side's door. Looks like there's no turning back. I was expecting a boring school year, but since things have taken a different turn, this should be interesting.

Caspian.

Rohas Organization.

Rollercoaster of events.

New friends.

Old enemies.

More memories.

All right! I'm fired up, bring it on suckers!

Welcome to SAGE Academy!
