Akihiko’s home. It was morning and the Sun shone bright through the window. Akihiko opens his eyes wide and says-“Good morning world!” take a small pause and looks at his hands and says, “Ah… I’m back in my body.”[Author’s Note: Now, to be more accurate the other Akihiko will be called ‘the other thing’ whenever he pops through the story.] He goes to the washroom brushes and splashes his face with water. Slowly making his way to the kitchen and making sure his mom isn’t awake, he grabs whatever he can from the fridge to eat and then goes to the main door with his bag. He packs a knife from the kitchen too. He grabs money from his mom’s purse and heads for the main door. After wearing his shoes, he gets up and goes to open the door.“Leaving?” asks his mom who was watching him go about.“Um… Well, how do I put this?”“Just be safe. All of us might have heard of stories, rumours or even myths from here and there. Some might be affiliated with demons, while some with spirits. Some of you might believe in these ‘stories’, while some of you may not. However, there is something about this concept that everyone must understand, which is their existence. These monsters or spirits from myths are alive for a purpose but not all can see them. The few who can see them and interact with them are called the Cast. The ones who make contracts with spirits after summoning them are the Off-Cast. Finally, the Cast who decides to hunt these creatures based off the miasma they emit are called hunters/ pursuants. The hunters have their own ranks in the ‘Yokai’ realm, which is similar to ‘the underground’. They are paid for every ‘Yokai’ they hunt. The ranks of these ‘Yokai’ start from Folklore followed by grades such as C, B, A. Altho

He finishes eating and by that time, the bell rings again. So, he gets up and says-“Alright! I’ll do it too!” and he heads for his classroom. He knew which class he was going to be since there were spirits roaming around and he asked them for directions. When he reaches his classroom, he sees some Americans walking up the stairs. He ignores them and enters his class.“Oh… Cursed boy is here!” says one of the boys and everyone’s attention is turned to Akihiko. He then sees Ayame sitting in a corner and reading something while Mitsuru was talking to some other people in the classroom. After a few hours, he opens his eyes and jerks up realising that he had slept off while thinking about something which he couldn’t remember since he just woke up. He looks around and then sees Ayame studying on her table. He then asks in a daze- “W-who are you?! Have you finally come for me… demon!?” “What the hell is wrong with you? First, you sleep in my room and then you wake up to say stuff like that… What is wrong with you?” and she continues to study.
