Asher’s POV

“I saw you, Asher. With her. Chanel. Don’t pretend you don’t know what I’m talking about.” She told me and all I could do was widened my eyes.

I was shocked, taken aback by May's accusation, only it wasn’t just an accusation though, she was right, but not entirely.

Her words hit me like a physical blow, and for a moment, I was speechless. The image of Chanel's unexpected advance flashed through my mind, and I knew I had to make May understand.

I had to explain things to her, let her see that I wasn’t lying about this, that nothing would make me go to Chanel when I could have her.

"May, you don't get it," I began with my voice laced with the urgency I was feeling, trying to bridge the gap her words had created. "Chanel kissed me, but I pulled away. I asked her why she did that… right there in the café. If you had stayed, you would have seen the whole thing." I said.

May's eyes were hard, her arms crossed as if to shield herself from more lies. "Of course, that's your versio
