"You could have told me!" I gritted through clenched teeth.

"Why? So you could run away?"

"I don't run away from things dad." I countered.

"Then go back to the base. You have been out here for long enough Arden!"

My body stiffened when he used my second name.

"Why? Why now?"

"Because you are needed over there."

"Not because you think I'm not doing much for the organization?"

"And that. You need to get back in shape."

"No!"

"It's not like you have any other choice."

"I have a wife!" I exclaimed.

Talking to my father was ever pointless. He'd stick to his point and refuse to see anything else.

"Then get rid of her!" His statement was harsh.

I clenched my fists and unclenched them. A part of me contemplated on pulling out a gun. We both knew how that always ended so I did not. Still the desire to kill him ran through my blood.
