Chapter Twenty

I found Caspian on his bed looking paler and like a zombie. He eyes were closed like he was in deep sleep which made me panic as I thought he might be dead. His slow beating heart was the only thing that gave me reassurance that he was awake.

He had bags under his eyes and was a little bit skinnier. I looked at his hand and I saw him holding a picture. I took the picture and saw an image of 16 year old me talking to my friends. I did not even remember taking the picture meaning it was taken without me knowing.

Does that mean that Caspian had always been in my life? I thought to myself. That would explain why I felt comfortable in his presence. I also don't think I would have allowed any stranger guy to take me to dinner at the hospital, it was like I already knew Caspian Demetrius.
