Chapter 55 "New Mate?"

Avery P.O.V.

Oh, my God, I can't feel my legs. They feel like jello. Why do I do that? Let them grab me and start touching me. I should not let them touch me after what they did to me. But I am so stupid. I did see Andrew was here, and then he left. Thank God, but why do I want him back?

It's not like he is my mate or something. But what I said inside my mind was different from my mind. Andrew was a jerk to me the most. He would always trip me and try to pick me up from school.

He would call my names and throw me in the pool's deep end. I can't swim since I started learning how to swim because I wanted to be ready for him when he threw me into the deep end again.

He had always been trying to grab my attention, sweep me up in his arms, and carry me away, and I rolled my eyes at what he said to me.

I wanted to tell him he's crazy, but somehow my heart stops when he's around. I don't have a clue why. But I know when he touches me, I melt and turn to liquid in his arms.
