Bind her hands

CHAPTER 3

TAHIRA'S POV.

He stared at me in shock as if I uttered the worst demonic pronouncement since his existence and I stood up and went closer to him but he shifted backward.

"D..don't come close.." he swallowed, frowning, and gritted his teeth as if he committed the worst sacrilege ever. He shook his head in disbelief and I still went closer.

"For goodness sake, don't come close!" He growled.

"Why?" I managed to ask him, biting my lips and not believing that this Alpha here was my mate after waiting all these years and if you ask me, I don't feel bad at all. I feel super excited and elated that he's the one.

"You're mine Aiden!" I stressed those words as a matter of fact and he cursed, shaking his head.

"Never!" He spat out, arranging his sleeves and the collar of his jacket.

Why does he look so irritated all of a sudden? One minute he was all over me, breathless and filled with lustful curses as he couldn't wait to ravish me but right now, he's looking at me like an obsessed dirt. Didn't he feel the bond too or am I the only one who's drawn to him like a magnet?

"Let's go back, your parents must be worried." He avoided contact with me and I sighed.

"Why are you here?" I asked him but he didn't say a word and walked out on me, leaving me in a whirlwind of emotions and despair.

Back at the Pack meeting room with my father, Aiden's arrogance was gone.

He looked like a confused model who was being hit with sharp objects that all he needed was attention and medication.

He was fidgeting cutely and he finally released a shaky breath, trying to be calm.

"I'm here to marry her " He blurted out and my poor heart leaped in excitement.

Wait! Why did he suddenly say that after reacting that way back then?

Why was he feeling remorseful when saying this instead of being happy and confident, especially with the fact that I was his fated mate?

My mum gasped in shock.

"Have you thought about this Aiden? Are you sure you want to get married to Tahira?" My mum couldn't help but ask in shock, her face turning to a shade of red in too much shock and Aiden nodded, still avoiding contact with me.

"You're betrothed to the Moo-"

My father's words were cut short as Aiden smiled and bit his lips, nodding in acknowledgment.

"Yeah, but she's not my mate. Tahira is the one" He said so casually that one would think that he was so happy for me when he reacted strangely back there.

Why do I suddenly feel uneasy that there was more to this sudden gesture of his, my wolf was keen on communicating with his wolf but she couldn't. It was as if there was a total shutdown in his system making it even hard to know his true motives.

"Are you sure about this Aiden? Don't you think you need to take time to know about her and do enough research before taking her?" My father insisted and I rolled my eyes. He never says that to other men who come in here daily to press and confess their dying love but here he was with Aiden, so lenient and wanted him to be careful as if he was about to marry Jezebel from hell.

"I'm sure.." Aiden said and finally turned his sea blue eyes to me and I tried to get any emotions from it but all I could think of right now was feeding my lips on him as he is so damn sexy and bright like a fresh lily that sprouted from morning dew.

"Tahira…please," My mum stated, staring at me worriedly as she guage my expression as if I was about to reject him. If only she knew that I was the one now scared of being rejected. "I know you don't believe in the moon goddess but he came here on his own." She said and I nodded, smiling at her.

"I know the moon goddess is so delusional and I've never believed a thing she's said but I'm willing to place my bet on this one. This one is mine … My fated mate." I said not to break off contact with those gorgeous eyes and he smiled back at me but…I couldn't feel the emotions in his smile. It's more as if he's smiling to hide the façade behind the real mask but who cares? I'll uncover it and still kiss him because I'm whipped right now

My parents were so excited they cried out In relief.

"We would prepare for the celebration at once." My dad said excitedly but Aiden raised his hands and bowed.

"As much as I'd love to wait for that, there would be no need for that, My Alpha. I'd love to take her now to my parents and return later for the celebration.

I'll send my men to keep you guys updated."

He said and I smiled, just the way I like them. Smart and precise, but something keeps telling me that he was too fast. We were supposed to let Red Stone Pack be aware of my mate. It's a ritual that must be done as the daughter of an Alpha before the mating ceremony commences and we get blessed.

Someone like my dad who is eager to let me get married would bless me immediately so that I could take over. I wonder if he also knew that I'm not abandoning my pack for anything. It's either I take over the throne or my husband does that. That's the condition given to anyone who is willing to take me as a bride but can Aiden handle it?

He's an Alpha controlling Seven eloquent Packs that were not a match for Red Stone and he's suddenly here for marriage?

What if I wasn't his mate?

Could he still have gone on? Why are things not adding up here but why do I still feel excited about all of this?

He held my hands and led me, not even giving me the time to doll up and wear something nice. He claims he has it all and not a single time should be wasted.

His sweet angelic face suddenly turned cold and dark the moment we stepped outside and I couldn't help but withdraw my grip from him.

"Tell me Aiden, what do you want? If you don't want to marry me just say it. I'll still help you." I tell him, searching his art image of a face as if he had the answers to the question I was looking for.

He looked angry about something, it's as if he has something under his sleeves and was afraid to bring it out even though he needs to.

"Don't worry, you don't need to marry me if it makes you uncomfortable." I blurted and almost gasped at my words.

What? Did I tell him that? Ha! What is my wolf turning me Into? I would break Aiden's head if he didn't go as planned, no one comes to deceive me and leave Scot free but here I am, spitting gibberish.

"That's the problem, Tahira, I need you." His voice rumbles in my ears like a sweet melody as he takes a step closer.

We were outside and I could feel eyes watching us but who cares right now, I just want to hear what he has to say.

"I need you so badly but you ended up being damned fucking mate!!" He growled, his eyes turning into a shade of crimson and I could see the hatred In his tone and the urge to do something dangerous as I stared at his face wondering why he was suddenly reacting this way.

"But I don't give a rat ass about that shit Tahira, there's no room for demons in my life!" He said the last word with so much toxicity and I flinched, blinking my eyes rapidly to fight back the burning sensation lurking in my eyes and he turned to the men whom I thought were mine and gave his orders.

"Bind her hands." He told his men who grabbed me harshly and they bound me with shackles.
